Seit dem 16. März 2009 ist die Heinz Glas GmbH mit dem Standort Kleintettau und der Produktionsstätte in Spechtsbrunn Mitglied im Umweltpakt Bayern. Teilnehmen kann daran jedes (bayerisches) Unternehmen, das sich im Bereich Umwelt besondere Ziele gesetzt hat. Wir haben uns für 2009 bis Mitte 2010 vorgenommen ein Umweltmanagement nach DIN ISO 14001 einzuführen.

Sehr geehrte Geschäftsfreunde,
liebe Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen! Wie vielen von Ihnen schon bekannt ist, hat Herr Dr. Kneitz im April dieses Jahres zu uns gefunden, um sich in die Nachfolge von unserem Herrn Dr. Nebe in der Vertriebsleitung für die Heinz-Glas GmbH und in der Koordination des globalen Vertriebs der Heinz-Glas Division einzuarbeiten. Dies ist nun weitestgehend erfolgt und wurde Herr Dr. Kneitz inzwischen auch zum weiteren Geschäftsführer der Heinz-Glas GmbH berufen.

Er hat zum 01.10. die Vertriebsleitung Glas von Dr. Nebe übernommen. Wir wünschen ihm und uns dazu gerade in diesen schwierigen Zeiten auch das notwendige Glück für den Erfolg! Herr Dr. Nebe wird ihn und die ganze Vertriebsmannschaft weiterhin aus der Technik heraus unterstützen, die er noch bis zu seinem geplanten Ausscheiden nach dann 11 Dienstjahren für uns bis Mitte nächsten Jahres weiterführen wird.

Selbstverständlich verstehe ich auch die Frage, wer und was in der Technik nach Dr. Nebe dann geboten sein wird und ich kann Sie dazu wissen lassen, dass auch hier bereits Vorsorge getroffen worden ist, die dann auch rechtzeitig bekannt gegeben werden wird. Ich freue mich, Ihnen diese Mitteilung machen zu können und hoffe, dass auch diese Nachricht dazu hilft, dass Sie weiterhin Vertrauen zu Heinz-Glas und der Heinz-Gruppe als Geschäftspartner haben und dieses auch auf Herrn Dr. Kneitz übertragen.

Dear business partners, dear employees!
As many of you already know, Dr. Kneitz found the way to us last April to get acquainted as Dr. Nebe’s successor with the sales business management for Heinz-Glas GmbH and the coordination of the global sales business of the Heinz Glas Division.

Meanwhile Dr. Kneitz has also been appointed as further CEO of Heinz-Glas GmbH. On the 1st of October he took over full responsibility for Heinz-Glas sales from Dr. Nebe. We wish him and we wish ourselves, particularly in such hard times, good luck for good success! Dr. Nebe will continue to be on his side and to support the entire sales team with the management of the technical division until his planed re-tirement in the middle of next year there after 11 years of service in our company.

I can understand that many of you are asking who will be managing in the technical division after Dr. Nebe but please be assured that we have been already looking ahead and that we’ll let you know it in time.

I am glad to have the chance to inform you about this change in our management team and I do hope that your confidence and satisfaction with Heinz-Glas and the Heinz Group as your business partner will go on and you will show it also to Mr. Dr. Kneitz.

HEINZ-GLAS the secret winner in Berlin

The „Fragrance Stars 2008″ prize has been awarded on the occasion of the 16th Gala of the German Fragrance Award on April 26th in Berlin. The Fragrance Foundation has organised this year again the German Fragrance Award as an event of international level – with many well-known movie and TV top stars.

Verona Pooth announced the women and men fragrances which had been selected during the last weeks by the public as the fragrance stars for the “Audience Award Prestige”. The Fragrance Foundation awarded the Fragrance Star Audience Award” – subdivided into “Prestige” and “Lifestyle” – on behalf of all perfume lovers. 22 new perfumes of the last year have been selected and 300.000 votes have been given by postcard or internet. So the consumers selected their favourites!

The men fragrance “Prestige” was awarded to FLEUR DU MALE, a fragrance of Jean Paul Gaultier in the opal glass flacons made by HEINZ-GLAS!
Another HEINZ-GLAS flacon was the winner in the category “Lifestyle”: Christina Aquileira.

Worth to be mentioned are also the HEINZ flacons “Fuel for Life”/Diesel (category Prestige, men) and C. Aquileira, which won also in the category Lifestyle, women.

One the worldwide well-known designers, Vera Wang, was honoured in the category “Fragrance Star Personality”. Vera Wang set important trends for the international fashion and perfume lines. With her luxury style Vera Wang created an unique world for a special target group – with HEINZ-GLAS as partner, wrapping the fragrances in elegant glass!

Manufacturers and suppliers of the perfume market, sales and media people are members of the Fragrance Foundation Germany. Their common goal is to keep and preserve perfume as a precious cultural value and to present its fascination to a broad public. The idea to honour fragrances with a prize similar to “Oscar” for movies goes back to the American Fragrance Foundation. Since 1993 the prize has been awarded also in Germany.

SPECIAL EXHIBITION

Opening on first Sunday in Advent 2007

Kleintettau – “We want to show our people what values we have here at Rennsteig and how we make the most of them”, said Carl-August Heinz on the opening of the special exhibition of the history of the glass industry in Stockheim. The exhibition can be seen in the premises of the future glass museum in Kleintettau. The company owner welcomed there many honour guests, interested people and members of the newly founded Glass Preserver Association.

Photo: Carl-August Heinz handed over a souvenir to Mr. Gerd Fleischmann, guardian of the home cultural heritage, in thanks for his great commitment for the exhibition of the history of the glass industry in the Franconian forest.

The planned museum basically stands for the “Glass industry at Rennsteig” which decisively influenced the success of the region”, said Carl-August Heinz. The special exhibition shows a nearly forgotten very interesting glasswork history in the district of Kronach. In the year 1906 approximately 800 people were working in the two glass factories in Tettau and Kleintettau while in Stockheim there were already 400 workers. “It is important to learn from this history” meant the company boss.
